For us, the arguments for remote working are obvious.
*Young generations value flexible working models and the importance of private time is extremely important. Every minute they can use for themselves counts. A long commute to work for a job that can easily be done remotely is simply no longer acceptable for many.
Even a table football table and a fruit basket in the office are no longer an option 😉
*Statistics already show it - in 2024, 66% of companies will offer remote work options.
*In IT services, the proportion of employees who do not travel to the office every day is around three-quarters!
*Many of our customers have tried to attract software developers to the office and then approached us to find an employee. The feedback has been consistently positive.
Team members who work remotely perform the same, or even better, because they are not distracted and use their time in a focused way.
Meetings via Zoom have become part of everyday life and are used effectively.
*Good software developers choose their projects and employers. If you want the best for your project, you need to be more flexible as an employer.
*Apart from the fact that many developers with very good potential do not live in Germany, 90% of developers prefer the remote job to the office job.
*Developers with remote experience have often gained experience in international projects and contribute to the team in a different way. A project can gain from this!
*Communication. Is even more important when working remotely than when employees meet in the office. Why? Because you don't always have time for a few personal words in a meeting - which is often the case in the coffee kitchen.
That's why it's important to hold separate appraisal interviews and to communicate with your employees on a personal level.
Incidentally, this is a point that we always discuss in detail with our customers when they start up with employees working remotely.
